In the last 5 years, we have been hearing about the various frauds, issues happening in the banking sector. I always wanted to learn about the roots of the issues. I also wanted to learn why the public sector banking in India is plagued with them. This book is perfect for this.

Vivek Kaul is the author of this book. He writes about economics in a way, a layman like me can understand. This holds true for this book as well. A lot of writers, who writes about economics throw different numbers at you, and then make up a conclusion. Vivek Kaul does give us lots of numbers in this book but he explains how he arrives at these conclusions. Sometimes, the numbers did overwhelm me, but the explanations always made sense to me. So, in short, I would say the book achieved what it wanted to achieve. I understood all the nuances and the deep rooted issues PSBs or banking in general has. This book also shows the solutions proposed by various experts and the pros and cons of them.
